Social Run for Spain 2026
THE DAY
A five-kilometre run became much more.
On 6 September, more than 200 people gathered in Fælledparken for Social Run for Spain. Some ran, others walked, volunteered, performed, cooked or came with their families.
For a few hours, Copenhagen became a meeting point between Denmark and Spain - united by one shared purpose.

AFTER THE RUN
The finish line was only the beginning.
The celebration continued with children’s activities, dancing and live performances by Xikets, Havana Cowboys, Empyrean Phoenix, Anier and Banda Eminente.

FOOD · COPENHAGEN MEETS ÁVILA
Copenhagen met Ávila through food.
Claudia's Paella, Ris Paella, Don Mauro y La Paella Copenhague prepared the paella, while Dulce de Cocina brought something sweet. Panca came with latin vibes. Food became another way to share our cultures and support the cause.
We ran to support RENACE Ávila, an initiative that organises safe and supervised volunteer action to help restore areas affected by the wildfires.
The final contribution will be published once the event accounts and financial review are complete.
Because connection isn't only about what we send. It's also about what we bring closer.
COMMUNITY
Social Run for Spain was created by a community.
Companies donated products and prizes. Artists performed. Partners opened doors, and volunteers gave their time and energy.
Everyone contributed what they could. This day belongs to all of them.
INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
Ávila came to Copenhagen.
Ávila Auténtica and the Diputación de Ávila brought the province to the heart of the event. The Embassy of Spain in Denmark joined us, represented by Ambassador Salvador Rueda.
RENACE Ávila gave every step a clear purpose.
FOOD & HOSPITALITY
They fed a park full of people.
VOLUNTEERS
An event like this does not appear in a park by itself.
Behind it were volunteers arriving early, setting up tents, managing the route and welcoming participants with fruit, drinks and a smile. Our food teams served the crowd, our photographers captured the day, and Casa de España and Copenhagen’s Spanish community helped bring people together.
Dozens of people gave us something more valuable than money: their Sunday.

6 SEPTEMBER 2026 — AUCTION
Unique football memorabilia went under the hammer.
On 6 September 2026, we held a special auction in Fælledparken alongside the Social Run for Spain. All proceeds supported our work for the areas affected by the wildfires in Spain.
