DANAMARK EXPERIENCES

This is what happens when people choose to show up.

Sometimes it starts with a run. Sometimes with music, food or an idea around a table.

What matters is what happens next: people who didn't know each other meet, stay, help, laugh, share something and leave feeling a little more connected.

These are the moments DANAmark is built around.

25.10.2026 · COMMUNITY MEETING & LIVE RAFFLE DRAW — 25 OCTOBER · COPENHAGEN

Part 2/2: LIVE raffle.

After Fælledparken, we asked ourselves: what’s next?

DANAmark keeps moving forward! We’re continuing to raise funds until our live raffle draw on 25 October at 17:00.

Our goal is to donate 50,000 DKK to RENACE Ávila, and we’ve already made our first donation of 35,000 DKK.

That means we’re just 15,000 DKK away from our target. With time still to go until 25 October, your support can help us get there. Every contribution counts!

WHAT OUR EVENTS ARE ABOUT

More than something to attend.

We don't want to organise events where people arrive, watch and leave. We want people to take part.

Run. Bring the kids. Try something new. Dance. Eat together. Volunteer. Meet someone. Stay longer than you planned.

That's where DANAmark makes sense to us.

01
Sport

Running side by side, without a stopwatch.

02
Music

Danish and Spanish sounds in the same room.

03
Food

Paella, tapas and long tables where strangers become tablemates.

04
Culture

Small moments that carry two countries at once.

05
Family

Room for children, prams and grandparents.

06
Community

The reason all the other pieces make sense.

WHAT WE'VE DONE

Every event leaves something behind.

Photographs, faces, conversations, ideas people take home. Some of it stays with us for a long time.

Past events will appear here as they complete.
SOCIAL RUN FOR SPAIN · 6 SEPTEMBER 2026

We wondered if Copenhagen would show up. It did.

More than 200 people came to Fælledparken. Some ran five kilometres. Others walked. Some brought their children. Others spent the day cooking, playing music, handing out water or helping people they'd never met before.

Spanish and Danish voices filled Fælledparken. When the race ended, people stayed. And people stayed long after the finish line.

If you ask us what we remember most, it probably isn't the number. It's the people.

WHERE IT STARTED

Before the events, there was a reason to act.

DANAmark began in Copenhagen after the devastating DANA in Spain in 2024.

There was no event calendar and no plan to build an association. People simply started asking what they could do.

One person contacted another. Businesses offered help. Volunteers joined. People who didn't know each other started working towards the same goal.

Together, more than 200,000 DKK was raised for the affected communities.

We could have stopped there. We didn't.

WHAT COMES NEXT

We're still figuring out what DANAmark can become.

That's part of the point.

Some ideas will become events. Some will become collaborations. Some might start with someone we've never met sending us a message saying: "What if we did this?"

We want to create more reasons for Denmark and Spain to meet — and more ways to turn connection into shared action.

BE PART OF WHAT COMES NEXT

The next event doesn't start on event day.

It starts with the people behind it.

Members. Volunteers. Artists. Businesses. Someone with an idea. Someone who knows someone. Someone willing to give a few hours.

If you'd like to be one of them, there's room for you.

Come for the event. Stay for the people.

We want to create more reasons for Denmark and Spain to meet — and more ways to turn connection into shared action. Together beyond borders.
